Assistant Athletic Trainer
Johnnie Garcia, ATC

A native of Denver, Johnnie is an alumnus of Holy Family High School in Broomfield and graduated from Metro State University in 2011 with a B.A in Human Performance and Sport with a concentration in Athletic Training. He also spent a semester working with men's soccer and basketball at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs in 2011.

Garcia has been part of the Mullen sports medicine team for a total of 3 years (2012-2014) and (2016-present). He also was head athletic trainer for Denver West High School from 2014-2016.  Johnnie grew up playing sports and understands the competitive nature of athletes. He believes there is no better feeling in helping injured athletes return to their sport and watching them succeed afterwards. He feels the best part about working at Mullen is being an atmosphere in which young men and women are striving to do their best in school, sports, their faith and community.  When Johnnie is not at Mullen, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Karina, and playing ball with his son, Lucas.
