Is your schedule in need of repair? See your counselor if your schedule repair fits into one of the approved reasons outlined in the handbook. Schedule repairs are made through the counseling office until Thursday at 3pm.

 

The Junior Class College Night will be held tomorrow night from 6-7:30pm in the Rilko. College Counselors, Ms. Santillo & Mr.. Laube, will be providing information about college planning timelines, standardized testing, exploring colleges, discussing the criteria colleges use for acceptance, and the college athletic recruitment process.

 

There is a mandatory meeting for all current members of National Honors Society on Thursday at lunch in Activities. If you plan on being part of MHS this year you MUST BE present. Please talk with Mrs. Abeyta or Mrs. Castellano for any questions.

 

Auditions for Mullen theatre’s fall play Murder’s in the Heir are today and tomorrow in the Rilko from 3:30 - 5:30.  Audition packets and scenes are on the bulletin board by the theatre office in the Rilko.  All are welcome!

 

Any students interested in reviving the Mullen Orchestra Club, please come by the Music Room in Christian Brothers for a meeting during lunch.

 

Any students interested in joining Lasallian Youth this year, there will be a meeting today at lunch in Mrs. McCarty’s room F20.  Everyone is welcome!

 

Any sophomores interested in the sophomore service day, there will be a meeting in Mrs. McCarty’s room tomorrow at lunch.

 

Attention all members of the Drum Line! Weekly rehearsals begin tonight from 6 to 8 in the music room. Let’s get ready to rumble!

 

All girls interested in playing basketball this winter and are not playing a fall sport will meet in the Hutch tomorrow, Wednesday, August 23 at lunch.  This is a mandatory meeting to participate in the fall preseason program.  See Coach Cawley with questions.

 

Speech & Debate practices begin tonight and will be held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday starting at 3:30 in the Activities Center.  Students in Fall Sports are encouraged to come by after your sports practice if you are interested in joining.

 

In sports, Mullen will be at D’Evelyn, 4:30 p.m., for its softball opener and boys soccer will have a scrimmage at home against Ponderosa, 4:30 p.m.

 

Spanish Club will meet this Thursday August 24 in C-5 during lunch. All are welcome so and enjoy.

Friday August 18th

  1. Strength and conditioning training starts Monday August 21st for all athletes interested in participating in winter and spring sports. The schedule with your training time is based on your upcoming sport and is posted on the weight room doors in the Spirit Center.  Any questions can be directed to Coach Stewart.

  3. Senior College and Financial Aid Night will be held on Monday from 6-8pm in the Rilko. This program is essential for all seniors and their parents.  Information about college application process will be presented from 6-7pm.  Financial Aid info from 7-8pm.
  4. Junior Class College Night will be held on Wednesday from 6-7:30pm in the Rilko. This program is for all juniors and their parents.  Mullen's College Counselors, Ms. Santillo and Mr.. Laube, will be providing information about college planning timelines, standardized testing, exploring colleges, discussing the criteria colleges use for acceptance, and the college athletic recruitment process.
  5. The back to school dance is tonight! “Welcome to the Wild West” is in the Rilko from 7:30-10:30, and doors close at 8:30. Tickets are $5 each and purchased at the door. The dance is open to Mullen students only, so please bring your Mullen ID.  Dress code - the following is not appropriate: leggings/yoga pants, too short shorts, crop tops or any shirts showing your midriff, tank tops or any shirt without sleeves, and ripped/torn jeans. You will be asked to change if you are in any of these items! See Mrs. Abeyta in room 303 with any questions.

Dear Mullen Families, 

We hope your summer is going well and that you are finding time to rest and connect with family and friends.  While we miss the hustle and bustle of "A" weeks and "B" weeks, our campus has been busy with summer camps, Summer Bridges, campus projects, and many of us are busy with preparations for the August opening of school.

Mullen Broadcast Network Club Meeting - August 3rd, 10 a.m., in the Activities Center.

The Mullen Broadcast Network (MBN) Club will debut in the 2017-18 school year and is seeking representation and participation. We are looking for photographers and videographers for the new school year to start as soon as possible.

Here’s your chance to be involved in all aspects of reporting, broadcasting and commentating. All positions are available and the Mustangs will attempt to present multiple offerings from each sport.

Students will be covering their peers. Interested parties should contact Neil H. Devlin at devlin@mullenhigh.com or come to a meeting Thursday, August 3rd at 10 a.m. in the Activities Center.
