Back-from-Break Dance
The back-from-break dance is this Friday, January 12th, following our home basketball games. The dance is from 8:30-10:30 and doors close at 9:30. Admission is $5 at the door. Come support the basketball teams and then head over to the dance in the Rilko! The theme will be announced this week at school. 

Sophomore Family Night: 
January 10th at 6pm Rilko, come learn more about the sophomore year experience, discuss course selection for junior year, and be introduced to the College Counselors to start preparing for college and the application process. Both parents and students are encouraged to attend.

Singers Wanted
Any singers interested in performing the Star Spangled Banner at our home basketball or hockey games, please click on the links below. If you have any questions or concerns, please email Mrs. Heather Davis.

Anthem singers for 17-18 Hockey Games

Trey started his 3rd and most intense round of treatment on December 12th and is hanging in there! All the love, prayers, and support Trey has received from the Mullen family are keeping his spirits high, despite the physical challenges that lay ahead.  Donations are still needed or there are other ways to help:

Donate a meal to Trey and his parents. (Chase is receiving meals from family and friends in the neighborhood.)

Donate restaurant cards, hotel points and gas cards by contacting Jen Moody303-263-7312.

The Sieradski family is deeply thankful for their Mullen friends at this time!

Blackfeet Immersion Trip
If your student is interested in attending the Blackfeet Immersion Trip in April, please turn in your interest forms soon! Interest forms are due by Thursday, January 11, 2018, to Mr. Gray or Ms. Hooper.

 From The Counseling Offices

Last Call:
Applying to a college with a deadline of Jan 10th or earlier? Submit your pink Transcript Request Form(s) and fee(s) to your College Counselor immediately. The College Counseling office will be closed during break. Also, don't forget to stop by and let us know about your acceptances so we can celebrate with you! You will also want  keep track of any and all scholarships you are offered, as we will need this information in April. 
Financial Aid:
For families who are planning on applying for Financial Aid, you must complete the FAFSA. Prior to filing the FAFSA, you have to apply for your FSA ID. This ID is required for both student and parent(s). Without it, you will be unable to complete the FAFSA. Please follow this link to complete the application process.
Sophomore Know Yourself Lessons: 
Sophomores continue to meet this week with their Academic/Personal Counselor to talk more about who they are, what they want to be and how they can take steps to get there. Working with Naviance and planning for course scheduling. 
PSAT Score Reports
The results from October's National Test Day are available online. 
Students can create an online account to view their scores, this account is free on College Board. Students who provided their email address on their PSAT/NMSQT answer sheet will receive an email reminder from College Board explaining where and how to view their scores.

Grade Notifications
Parents will continue receiving a weekly email notification if their student(s) is/are earning below a 69.5% in a class. This email will serve as an opportunity for parents to discuss grades and missing assignments with the student(s).  Students are encouraged to contact the teacher of the class with any questions or concerns and include parents on this correspondence.
