PLACEMENT TEST
Mullen’s High School Placement Test for the 2009-10 academic year will be offered on December 5, 2009 at 8:30AM and coincides with the tests offered at the other Catholic high schools in the Denver metro area. Taking the test is a requirement in the application process. The scores from the placement test are one of the many criteria used by the admissions committee to compare students from the dozens of schools from which 8th graders apply. Scores are also used after admission to place students into certain honors courses. Remember, this is a “placement” test and not an “admission” test. Mullen does not merely admit students who score well on the test! As a Lasallian school, we emphasize all types of diversity at Mullen, including academic diversity. The placement test does, however, help us to determine whether a student will be successful in our rigorous college-prep environment. Students need to register for the test by phone or in person at the Open House. It costs $10 (cash or check, made out to “Mullen High School”), and students need to bring two #2 pencils to the test site. The admissions committee takes into account where a student chooses to take the test, so if Mullen is your 1st choice school, be sure to register to take it on our campus! Please save the date:Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 8:30AM.
