Interviews

Another required component of the application process for all students is the on-campus interview. Held on two different Saturdays in January, interviews are scheduled only when students have completed the entire application package. The interview dates this year will be Saturday, January 9, 2010 and Saturday, January 23, 2010. 

Interviews are conducted by members of Mullen's faculty and administration and are held in the presence of the students' parent(s). Interviews generally last 25 minutes and conclude with a very brief essay question written by the student. The purpose of interviewing is to learn about applicants' motivation for applying to Mullen, their intentions about attending a college-prep, Lasallian school and other intangible information impossible to convey in an application. It allows the chance to put personality to paper. It also provides an excellent opportunity for students to ask questions about Mullen to make sure this is the school for them.
