Procedures

The application procedure for incoming freshman begins in the spring of the student's 7th grade year.  The 7th Grade Information Night introduces both students and families to Mullen High School and the entire admission process.  The 7th Grade Admission Information Night will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 7:00pm in the Rilko Events Center on campus at Mullen High School.

Once the 8th grade year begins we strongly encourage setting an appointment to shadow.  Students can visit Mullen during the day and spend time with a student.  They will spend the entire day at Mullen allowing them to see what Muillen offers.

We also encourage the students and families to attend our Open House in the fall.  This opportunity to see the campus and meet the faculty and students is a major component in the decision making process.  We also encourage families to attend Mass on campus the morning of the event.

All freshman applicants are requried to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT) on the first Saturday in December.  This test is given at the same time by all the Denver area Catholic High Schools.  You are encouraged to take the test at your first choice school.  Test results are usually mailed to you by early January.  The application deadline is traditionally in mid December.

Durning January the students who have completed the applications by the deadline are invited to interview for admission.  The interviews are informal opportunities to put personality to paper.  They are conducted in January.  The decisions are mailed in February.

Thank you for your interest.  Please contact the Admission Office (303.761.1764 x3304) if you have any questions.
