SHADOWING
We strongly encourage 8th grade students to take advantage of our “Mustang-for-a-Day” program in order to experience what Mullen truly offers. Students that shadow are matched up with a current Mullen student, usually a freshman, for the school day and follow him or her from 1st period through 5th period, including lunch. If you know of a current freshman that you would like to shadow we will do the best we can to accommodate those requests. It is very important that students contact the Admissions Office in order to register officially for shadowing. Some dates—such as final exams, holidays, or Christmas and spring break—are obviously inappropriate for shadowing. We also have a daily limit on the number of visiting students in order to preserve the learning environment in the classroom. All students who shadow are expected to come dressed in the Mullen dress code and bring a sack lunch or money to purchase lunch in our cafeteria. Please call 303-761-1764 x3304 to inquire about shadowing. We will begin scheduling shadow appointments in late August. Note that our shadowing program for the 2009-10 academic year begins on September 14, 2009.
