International Applicants

Mullen High School considers international student applications based on space available in the particular class. It is important that all applicants are aware of the following:

   •All international students must meet or exceed all minimum published criteria for admission.   All  application materials must also be submitted in a timely fashion.
   •If the student plans on receiving a diploma from Mullen High School the student must attend Mullen for at least two years.
   •If the student is not receiving a diploma, the student will be placed in classes equivalent to the grade level at the school they last attended. Each student will be evaluated individually.
   •Each student must achieve an acceptable score of 500 on the TOEFL or SLEP test. The student is required to have an oral interview with the Mullen High School Admission Director or other Mullen administrator.
   •The student must come to Mullen through a reputable exchange program or be a resident in the home of a relative or other local contact familiar with Mullen High School. The student and their family is solely responsible for finding residence. This residence must be approved by the school and must be secured prior to acceptance to Mullen.
   •Mullen does NOT provide English as a Second Language (ESL). The student coming from a country where English is not the predominant language must be ready to matriculate into class where only English is taught.
   •All applicants must provide an approved translation or their transcripts. Specific course titles must be provided from the institution. Mullen will not be responsible for any translation.
   •Acceptance will not be complete until an up-to-date immunization record is submitted or a copy provided.
   •Specific I-20 or student visa questions can be directed to the Admission Office along with the application for admission.
