Rest of state hoops cancelled
Late Thursday decision halts play; looks like there will be no champions.
Late Thursday night, the rest of the Colorado basketball tournament was cancelled.
The University of Denver, which was hosting Class 3A boys and girls, indicated it could no longer host assuming rounds on Friday and Saturday.
On Thursday, Mullen girls was one of several teams that advanced to Saturday’s championship game in Class 4A. It got past Berthoud 64-57 in overtime. The Mustangs also are the 2019 winners.
More information may be available be on Friday, but it appears five classes of boys and girls play with have no champions.
