SHADOWING: Shadow visits for eighth grade students will begin on September 15, 2016. Online registration will be available after Labor Day. To register your student please visit the Admissions Event Registration page. The shadow program continues through February.
OPEN HOUSE: Mullen’s Open House will be Sunday, October 23, 2016. This date coincides with many of the other Catholic high schools in the Denver metro area. You are invited to see for yourself what MULLEN is all about. The day starts with Mass in the St. John Baptist de La Salle Chapel at 8:30 a.m. The tours begin at 10:00 a.m. and conclude at 2:00 p.m. It’s the perfect opportunity to tour our campus, see our state-of-the-art facilities, and get a handle on our rigorous college prep curriculum.
CATHOLIC MIDDLE SCHOOL VISITS: Mullen High School will begin visiting the eighth grade students at various Catholic middle schools staring in mid-September and continue the recruiting presentations until mid-November. The dates of the visits will be arranged with the middle schools and announced by the respective schools.
PROSPECTIVE FAMILY INFORMATION NIGHT: There will be two Prospective Family Information Nights in the fall on Wednesday September 14, 2016 and Wednesday, November 2, 2016 and for current 7th grade families in the spring on May 3, 2017. This meeting is designed to answer any questions families have about the high school application process in an informal and relaxed environment. Specific information about Mullen High School will also be shared. There will be time at the conclusion for a question and answer session.
PRACTICE HSPT: Mullen High School will be offering a Practice HSPT for current 8th grade students on Saturday, September 24, 2016 and Saturday, October 15, 2016. The practice version of the HSPT is an excellent predictor of the performance on the full exam, which will take place in December. It also provides students with an opportunity to identify any academic strengths and weaknesses. The test will begin at 8:30 a.m. Students should check-in prior to 8:00 a.m. and will be done by 11:30 a.m. The test costs $15.00 and you may bring the fee (with two sharpened #2 pencils) with you. Spots are limited. Registration for the Practice HSPT is under the Admission Event Registration page.
HIGH SCHOOL PLACEMENT TEST: The HSPT exam will be offered this year on Saturday, December 3, 2016. This test will be given at Mullen High School and is a requirement for all eighth grade students who are applying to Catholic high schools in the Denver area. The Test will begin at 8:30 a.m. Students should check-in prior to 8:00 a.m. and will be done by 11:30 a.m. The test costs $20.00 and you may bring the fee (with two sharpened #2 pencils) with you on December 3rd. Please register online through the Admission Event Registration page. Test results will be mailed to families in early January 2017.
