APPLICATION: Complete the Online Application

RECOMMENDATIONS: Students must submit academic recommendation forms from current Math and English teachers. In addition they must get a recommendation from a Counselor or Administrator. These forms can be downloaded from the Admission Documents on the right side of this page. Please have these forms completed by the teachers and sent directly to Mullen High School.

TRANSCRIPTS: Students need to submit a transcript release form to their current school. Official transcripts for 7th and 8th grade years including any standardized tests must be submitted directly from the school to Mullen. The transcript release form can be downloaded from the Admission Documents on the right side of this page.

COMPLETED APPLICATION: The application deadline is Thursday, December 15, 2016. This includes:

  • The online application for admission
  • Teacher Recommendations (3 different recommendations from Math, English and Counselor / Administrator)
  • Transcripts and most recent report card from your current school
  • HSPT Test Scores (An advantage of taking the test at Mullen is test scores will automatically be added to applicant file)

PLACEMENT TEST: Mullen High School uses the High School Placement Test (HSPT), a national standardized test created for admission evaluation. The HSPT will be offered at Mullen on Saturday, December 3, 2016. You may register for the HSPT after Labor Day under the Event Registration tab. Results will be mailed to families in January 2017.

INTERVIEW: Each student is required to participate in personal interview. The entire interview process generally takes less than one hour. Interviews are conducted by the Mullen faculty and administration in the presence of the students’ parent(s) or guardian. There is also a brief writing exercise that is required at this time. After the application deadline, applicants will be notified of their interview time and date. Interviews will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 and Saturday, January 28, 2017.

DECISION ANNOUNCEMENT: Decision letters will be mailed out on Thursday, February 16, 2017. No decisions will be available until this date.
