FRESHMAN APPLICATION PROCESS

APPLICATION: Complete the Online Application. 

ASSESSMENTS: Students must submit academic assessment forms from a current Math teacher, English teacher, and from a Counselor or Administrator. These forms can be downloaded from the Admission Documents on the right side of this page. Please have these forms completed by the teachers and sent directly to Mullen High School.

TRANSCRIPTS: Students must submit a transcript release form to their current school. Official transcripts for 7th and 8th grade years (including any standardized tests) must be submitted directly from the school to Mullen. The transcript release form can be downloaded from the Admission Documents on the right side of this page.

COMPLETED APPLICATION: A completed application includes:

  • The online application for admission
  • Teacher Assessments (3 different assessments from Math, English, and Counselor / Administrator)
  • Transcripts and most recent report card from your current school
  • HSPT Test Scores (An advantage of taking the test at Mullen is test scores will automatically be added to applicant file)

PLACEMENT TEST: Mullen High School uses the High School Placement Test (HSPT), a national standardized test created for academic placement evaluation. The HSPT will be administered on Saturday, December 1, 2018. Click here to register.

INTERVIEW: Each student is required to participate in a personal interview--conducted by the Mullen faculty and administration--in the presence of the students’ parent(s) or guardian. Following the interview will be a required brief writing exercise. After the application deadline, applicants will be notified of their interview time and date. 

DECISION ANNOUNCEMENT: Friday, February 15th, 2019.
