Lent, Week Three

Heavenly Father, As I enter another week of my Lenten journey, guide me to the path that leads to you. Fill my heart with gratitude, patience, strength, and peace as I strive to become the-best-version-of-myself, honestly admitting my shortcomings and sins.As I renew my resolve each day to become a better person, let me hear your voice in the deepest reaches of my heart. Give me rest in you.Help me to accept others, showing them your great love instead of casting judgment.Stay with me through the busy days this week and remind me that when I need comfort, solitude, wisdom, or guidance, I can always turn to you. Help me develop discipline and generosity through fasting and almsgiving, and come closer to you through prayer this Lent.

In your name I pray, Amen.

Academic Information Night

This past Tuesday, we invited the Class of 2023 to campus for Academic Information Night. I am sure many of you remember your first Academic Information Night at Mullen and what a great night it was. I am thankful to Mrs. Maxwell who was the primary organizer of the evening and to all of the faculty and staff who attended to answer questions for the new students and their families. For the Class of 2023, the Mullen journey has just begun! I pray it’s a blessed and exciting one.

April 1st - NO CLASSES

FINAL REMINDER!  The Monday following Spring Break, April 1, we will no have classes. Rather the faculty and staff will engage in a professional development day.

Spring has Sprung

We made it! It’s Spring Break. I, for one, am ready and I think many of our students and staff are, too. We at the school hope that the break is full of rest and relaxation for your students. If you are traveling, we hope that you have a lovely time. We look forward to seeing everyone back safe and sound! Please note that Mullen offices are closed for the week. Have a wonderful time!

Peace,

News & Events

School Parking
Due to a busy spring schedule plus weeks of makeup games, there will be many days where we will have soccer, lacrosse and baseball games/practices on concurrently.

In order to provide safety to Mullen staff, student-athletes, coaches, opposing teams and officials, we will close the Spirit Center parking to just these groups.  We will send notification in advance of these days.

Athletes need to remain in student parking, more importantly - pick up is in front of the Hutch for games and practices.  Mullen parents will not be allowed to enter the lot to pick up.  The goal is to provide a safe environment for the Mullen community and guests.

From the Pastoral Office
Lent is a season for transformation.  Through sacrifice and prayer and giving to others, we grow and prepare for the celebration of Easter.  We unite ourselves with Jesus, who spent 40 days in the desert, fasting and praying.  Lent begins on Wednesday, March 6 and ends 40 days later with the Easter on April 21.

The Mullen community will have several opportunities to enter into the Lenten season:
  • Friday, April 5 - First Friday confessions
  • Tuesday, April 16 - Stations of the Cross
