On Friday, October 25th, seven Mullen students competed in the national CyberPatriot competition - part of the Air Force Association’s National Youth Cyber Education Program.
Team members were given special versions of Windows 10, Ubuntu 14, Windows Server, and a packet tracer and asked to “harden” the sites against simulated cyberattack.
This was Mullen’s first foray into the online six-hour competition, and freshman team captain Andrew Markel said, “I’m excited to bring a new cybersecurity club to Mullen and to increase everyone’s knowledge of online safety.”
