Basketball staring at final regular-season games; ice hockey falls at home, finale will be Thursday.
In addition to the Colorado wrestling tournament, it’s a busy week for Mullen.
To wit:
Basketball
The Mustangs, in the final week of the regular season, will have another Centennial League doubleheader on Wednesday, Feb. 16.
The games will begin an hour earlier than usual -- girls will play at 4:30 p.m. and boys at 6.
The regular season’s final home games in league will be Friday, Feb. 18 – against Arapahoe, girls will play at 5:30 p.m. and boys at 7.
It will complete regular play for girls and boys will do so on Saturday, Feb. 19 – they will host Highlands Ranch at 4 p.m. in nonleague.
Playoff brackets are due on Sunday, Feb. 20.
Mustangs girls are three-time-defending Class 4A champions.
Ice Hockey
The Mustangs lost 9-1 to Cheyenne Mountain on Tuesday at The Edge in Littleton.
They are 1-16-1 overall in 2021-22.
Lucas Nafe had the goal with assists from Leo Mansfield and Ben Hollingsworth.
Mullen, which will end its season on Thursday, Feb. 17, will meet Rampart at The Edge, 2:30 p.m.
