  • An Evening with Grinnell, Middlebury and Occidental Colleges

    Grinnell CollegeMiddlebury College, and Occidental College are hosting a virtual program for students and their families from Colorado.

    During the program they will share their perspective on the value of a liberal arts education, as well as highlight the distinctive features of their institutions. They will share insights on how to navigate the application process for selective colleges. At the end of the program, students will have a chance to ask questions.

    National Catholic College Admission Association Virtual College Fair

    The NCCAA is hosting a virtual college fair where students can hear 6-minute presentations from schools followed by two nights (10/19 & 10/21) of panel presentations on topics related to the college admission process. Students choose which colleges they want to explore and ask questions of the college representatives by registering for their sessions. This is a chance to learn about many Catholic colleges and universities, college admission, and Catholic college academic and on-campus opportunities.

  • Liberal Arts College Fair Series

    You are invited to an opportunity for in-person connection with selective liberal arts colleges. Attend the virtual college fairs on Sept 22nd, Sept 29th and Oct 6th. Your registration provides access to events where you can meet with representatives from the following institutions for a live Zoom chat: Claremont McKenna, Colorado College, Denison, Grinnell, Macalester College, Pitzer College, Rhodes College, Rollins, Scripps, Sewanee, St John's College, Trinity University, Union College, and Richmond.

    Terrific 10: College Exploration Series (10/11-10/27)

    The Terrific 10 universities are back to make your college searches easier. Ten of the largest research-extensive public universities in the country are working together to bring the college search to students!

    You are invited to our virtual College Exploration Series. Next month we will be offering multiple sessions about the college search process, choosing a degree program and paying for college. Hear from admission experts at:

    Penn State
    The University of Texas at Austin
    University of California San Diego


    University of Georgia
    University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
    University of Nebraska
    University of Oregon
    University of Colorado Boulder

    All of the sessions are hosted through Zoom, which should be accessible via computer, tablet and smart device. Sessions begin on Monday, October 11th and run through Wednesday, October 27th.

    NACAC Virtual Midwest US College Fair

    Don't miss these one-day events for high school students, transfer students, and families.

    Go to virtualcollegefairs.org to see the list of participating colleges. Then log in on each fair date to attend Zoom sessions, text your questions, and demonstrate interest... all without leaving home. What a great way to connect with hundreds of colleges in a short amount of time to learn about majors, scholarships and more!

    Pro Tip: Start tagging the Zoom sessions you want to attend by clicking the Remind Me button. This will add the sessions to your My Schedule tab for each fair date. 

     

    Scheduled Meetings and Text Chat

    You can schedule a one-on-one meeting with a college admission representative. Just go to the college's profile page and click on the "Schedule a Meeting" button to choose a date and time. You can also send chat messages to any college's admission office by clicking the "Chat" button.

    FAFSA Completion Event (Virtual)

    CU Denver will be hosting a virtual FAFSA + CASFA Completion event.  A financial aid expert will be online to help you fill out your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or your Colorado Application for State Financial Aid (CASFA) and answer any questions you may have.

    FAFSA applicants: To expedite the FAFSA application completion process, please create your account FSA ID username and password at https://studentaid.gov/.  The student AND at least one parent will need to create an FSA ID to electronically sign the FAFSA application.

    When attending the virtual FAFSA + CASFA Completion event, you will need to have available the following information and documents:

    • 2020 Federal Tax Return (with all attachments and schedules 1-5, if applicable)
    • 2020 Employer Forms: W-2’s, 1099’s and 1098
    • Driver’s License number (if applicable)
    • CU Denver Financial Aid School Code: 004508
    • Social Security Numbers or Permanent Resident Number for student and parents
    • A valid email address for student and at least one parent to receive process notifications
    • Estimated amount of Income and Assets (from your bank, investments, business and farm income, if applicable)

  • Seven Liberal Arts Colleges That Break the Mold

    Join representatives from Bard, Bennington College, Denison, Pitzer College, Reed College, St. John's College, and Whitman College for a virtual information session. The program will include helpful advice on applying to college, introductions to each college, and an opportunity to ask questions. You will hear directly from the Vice Presidents, Deans of Admission, and Directors of Admission about applying to college in these unusual times.
