MBN Roundup: Girls lacrosse

Mullen’s losing streak in girls lacrosse reached four games on Thursday with a 13-3 loss to Cherry Creek at home to open the Centennial League.

The Mustangs are 3-4 overall, 0-1 in league.

Charlie Beck, Molly Gilbert and Emerson Johnson scored for Mullen.

Cherry Creek (5-1, 1-0) owned a 25-13 edge in shots on goal, led 4-1 after halftime and went for nine goals in the second half.

The Mustangs will resume play on Monday at Denver East, 5:30 p.m., in nonleague.
