Mustangs roll Longmont 6-0

Mullen off to a 2-0 start; Kerschen scores twice.
It’s a 2-0 start for Mullen boys soccer.

The Mustangs earned a road-match victory on Tuesday night, drubbing Longmont 6-0.

Now 2-0, Mullen had five players reach the back of the net, topped by Eli Kerschen’s two goals.

James Blackford, Kyle Cooper, Luke Elges and A.J. Gamueda each added scores.

Gamueda had two assists and Blackford and Cooper contributed one.

The Mustangs also went for 15 shots on goal. They led 3-0 at the half.

It was the season opener for the Trojans.

Mullen will have a Foundation game today, Aug. 28, at Colorado Academy that won’t count in the standings and a nonleaguer against Dakota Ridge at Lakewood Memorial Field on Friday at 7 p.m.
