AURORA – Rhett Johnson shot 2 under par and Mullen finished third in the latest Centennial League boys golf match, this one held at Saddle Rock Golf Course on Wednesday.

Hovering at, below or just over par in all four league matches to date, Johnson, a senior, fired a 70 to tie for third place. He made the turn at 33 before coming home in 1-over 37. All three of his birdies came on the front side and he had a string of 10 consecutive pars prior to bogeying the par-4, 393-yard No. 18, one of only two blemishes on his card.

Mario Dino shot 37-38—75 to tie for eighth. His two birdies came on the back side.

Andrew Brady tied for 17th at 80 and Thomas O’Sullivan was 22nd at 81 to account for the team scoring. Freshman Ryan Brady was 25th with 84.

Mullen scored 306 strokes, four behind second-placed Chery Creek. Arapahoe ran away in shooting a torrid 279, 9-under par.

Individually, Arapahoe took the top three places, all under oar, led by sophomore Grant Juergens’ 6-under 66.
