High-school sport: Tennis, No. 1 singles player, 2019 Class 4A semifinalist.
What I’ve done lately: .Has only two losses in 2020, most recently to the top 4A singles player.
Grade-point average: 3.9.
Class: Senior.
Why I attend Mullen: Just the community Mullen has with all of the great teachers and students, and I love the tennis program.
The best thing about my sport: I think the best thing (about tennis) is figuring out a win when you don’t play your best.
In my future: I’m looking at the University of Colorado and talking with some DIII schools, including in California.
Pre-Game ritual: During the match, sometimes I wear a rubber band on my right forearm. If I lose focus, I’ll snap it and it gets me back into it.
Favorite college team: CU football and basketball.
Why I play: It just teaches me life lessons, but also learning how to win when you’re not playing your best; overcoming adversity; and competing your heart out on the court.
