Jaxon Heil

High-school sports: Football (strong safety and fullback) and track (100 and 200 meters, and relays).

What I’ve done lately:
Was in on seven tackles, including five solo, in last week’s season opener, second on the team.

Grade-point average:
.4.15.

Class:
Junior.

Why I attend Mullen: It was a great education I could get while playing the sports I love. It’s also the best opportunity for me to go to college and succeed.

The best thing about my sport:
In football, I like the brotherhood I build with my teammates. They have my backs and I have theirs through thick and thin.

In my future:
Just go to college and to play football and go get a good education. (Will major in mechanical engineering.)

Pre-Game ritual:
I like to sit in silence and visualize the event and game, and think about making the big plays or running the races.

Favorite college team:
Stanford football.

Why I play:
I love competing. My entire life, I’ve grown up around it and competing with my brothers against another team, and just trying to dominate.
