'Stangs motor to 4th straight victory

Mullen easily handles host Cherokee Trail; Dominguez, Freelon and Gallegs lead the way as 11 players score.
 
AURORA – Mullen won its fourth consecutive game on Wednesday night, 64-23 over host Cherokee Trail in the Centennial League.
 
In improving to 4-1 overall and in league, the Mustangs were never challenged and led 36-6 at halftime.
 
Eleven Mustangs scored, topped by senior Alexa Dominguez’s 14 points. Juniors Kilah Freelon and Gracie Gallegos each added nine.
 
Mullen, top-ranked in Class 4A, will resume play on Friday, Feb. 12, against Eaglecrest in league, tip-off at 7 p.m., at Hutchison Fieldhouse.
