Brayden Carter, Student-Athlete of the Week

High-school sport: Basketball (center, all-Centennial League, signed with Regis).
What I’ve done lately: Mustangs leader in points (20.3 points), rebounds (8.6) and blocks (1.6) as they bid for a Class 5A playoff spot.
Grade-point average: 3.2.
Class: Senior.
Why I attend Mullen: I wanted a better education and wanted also to succeed better in basketball, and it so happened to be at the right time that coach (Bob) Caton went here. He’s a legacy coach and I just had a great opportunity for education and sports.
The best thing about my sport: I like the speed of the game. It’s really fast and always changing. Basically, you can do what you want; you’re not set at one position.
In my future: I’ll major in business at Regis.
Pre-Game ritual: I listen to music a lot before games and I get myself in a competitive mood.
Favorite college team: No favorite.
Why I play: I just really enjoy playing because I succeed in it and do pretty well … and I like it because all of my teammates are my good friends.
