Mullen football head coach Jeremy Bennett announced some additions for his 2021 staff.

Chatrick Clark is the Mustangs new special-teams coordinator and Ceddy Mauga will oversee the interior defensive line.

“Basically,” Bennett said, “we’re bringing in some more quality to our staff.”

Clark is a local business owner who retired from the Navy. He’s a former SEAL Team instructor as well as member of Teams 2 and 6. Clark has experience on the grade-school level, had stops at D’Evelyn,
Sheridan, Denver South and Littleton high schools, and two years at the University of Colorado.

Mauga played at Eaglecrest in Centennial, Sierra Junior College and in Wyomng’s Arena Football League. He has coached at Adams City and Eaglecrest.

“Coach Mauga is a young guy, very passionate about it and an outgoing-type of coach,” Bennett said.  “And Coach Clark has done things in this world most people never get to do … he brings a team and brother aspect to it.

“It’s a good hire for us on both guys.”
