Manwiller, 'Stangs handle Lakewood

Senior No 1 singles player leads Mullen to a 4-0 record with a 6-1 decision of visiting Lakewood in nonleague.
 
Mullen stayed undefeated in dual matches with a 6-1 victory over Lakewood in nonleague at Pinehurst Country Cub.

The Mustangs are 4-0 overall, 2-0 in the Centennial League.

Once again, senior Lauren Manwiller led the way. She won in straight sets 6-2, 6-1, and remains one of Colorado’s top players.

Sophomore Alexia Yost also won in straight sets at No. 2 singles.

In doubles, the Mustangs took spots 1 through 4.

In order, the teams of Brooklyn Hanley-Parker Durand, Izzy Desjardins-Tierney Scanlan, Aubryanne Leugers-Madeline Crites and Clara Dailey-Renee Hoyt were victorious, including a three-setter by Hanley-Durand.

Mullen will be back at it on Thursday, May 13, when it will visit Overland in Aurora, first serves at 3:45 p.m. It will be the Mustangs’ second match of three over four days.
