Choi, Zingler 1 and 2 in league

Junior Sofia Choi and sophomore Kaitlin Zingler finished first and second, respectively, in the Centennial League; 'Stangs also 3rd in the 5A-based league; 4A regionals are next.
 
Sofia Choi and Kaitlin Zingler finished first and second, respectively, in the final individual tally for Centennial League girls golf.

The Mullen duo was consistent throughout the loop’s five tournaments.

“And they did all of this against all (Class) 5A teams,” Mustangs head coach Kate Walker said.

Choi, a junior, shot scores of 79, 76, 69, 78 and 68 at courses in Aurora, Denver and Parker. Her 68 included two eagles at The Pinery Country Club earlier this week. Two years ago, she was Colorado
runner-up in the 4A tournament that was only one round after it snowed.

Zingler, a sophomore who has enjoyed terrific improvement, shot 83, 79, 67, 77 and 74 in Centennial play. Her 5-under-par 67 was at Aurora Hills Golf Course, where she had five birdies and an eagle.

Regular third-place finisher Hannah Giacomin was 31st with 107, 95, 98, 105, 105.

The Mustangs have completed the regular season and are preparing for regionals to be held at nearby Overland G.C. on Monday, June 7.
