'Stangs slip twice, but regionals are next

Mullen loses duals to D'Evelyn and Ralston Valley, but finishes 8-3 and will host a 4A regional next week.
 
Mullen dropped its final dual meets of the season this week and both to regular powers.

The Class 4A Mustangs lost to 3A D’Evelyn 6-1 and 5A Ralston Valley 4-3.

With a 6-1 record in the Centennial League, the Mustangs were second to Cherry Creek and 8-3 overall.

Against the Jefferson County teams, Mullen swept the singles with No. 1 Lauren Manwiller, No. 2 Alexia Yost and No. 3 Marin Smith winning. And versus D’Evelyn, Manwiller came away with a victory.

Next for Mullen are regionals on June 2-3.
