Dwol MVP at Pomona Invite

Mustangs junior wins long and triple jumps at meet in Jeffco;; has her sights set on a Colorado record. 
 
LAKEWOOD – Agur Dwol was named the MVP for girls field events at Saturday’s Pomona Invitational held at Jefferson County Stadium.

The Mustangs junior won the long jump in 17 feet, 8.5 inches, and her specialty, triple jump, in 39-11.

Mustangs head coach Caitlin Able said Dwol has a goal of 42 feet in triple jump that would give her the state record. It currently sits at 41-7 by Cherokee Trail’s Sydnee Larkin, set three years ago.

The Mustangs girls finished ninth with 37 team points.

Mullen will have a meet on Thursday at Cherokee Trail and Saturday at Valor Christian, the Holy Wars.
