Maestas leads Mullen in Centennial

Seattle-bound senior wins 200 IM; team finishes 6th; 4A Championships are next.
 
AURORA – Noah Maestas won the 200-yard individual medley on Friday, Mullen’s top effort in the annual Centennial League Championships held at Smoky Hill,

Maestas, a senior headed to Seattle, made the winning swim in 1 minute, 41.66 seconds.

Also third in the 100 breaststroke (57.96), Maestas helped the Mustangs’ 200 freestyle and 200 medley relay teams to placings.

Overall, Mullen finished sixth of seven teams.

The Mustangs will be in the Class 4A Colorado meet on Friday, June 25, at the Veterans Memorial Aquatics Center in Thornton.
