DeBerardinis scores 2, 'Stangs are 5-0
Mullen blasts D'Evelyn 7-0 in nonleague as 6 players find back of the net.
Andrew DeBerardinis scored two goals as Mullen romped over D’Evelyn 7-0 on Wednesday night at the North Area Athletic Complex in Arvada.
The Mustangs, who finished August ranked No. 1 in Class 4A, are 5-0. The Jaguars of Jefferson County fell to 2-3.
DeBerardinis’ two scores upped his goal total to five in 2021, second on the team. Nolan Cooper, Leo Aguilar, Ethan Lehman, Jack Sargent and Jorge Valdes also found the back of the net.
As for assists, Lehman, Eddie Roth, Nathan Muir, Alex Sedita, Eli Kerschen, Jaycee Campos and Sargent accounted for the helpers.
Mullen also has four sutouts, including the past two matches.
Next for Mullen is a Saturday (Sept. 11) match on the road at Thompson Valley in Loveland, 11 a.m., in nonleague.
