Cawley wins Sanders Award
Longtime girls basketball coach Frank Cawley is the Dave Sanders Colorado Coach Award winner; featured in Mile High Sports Magazine.
Frank Cawley, the longtime girls basketball coach at Mullen, is the latest winner of the Dave Sanders Colorado Coach Award.
The longtime figure for the Mustangs, including as admissions director, has won championships in both boys and girls play and is among the elite coaches in the sport.
Sanders was the teacher-coach murdered in the Columbine Massacre on April 20, 1999. By eyewitness accounts, Sanders took automatic-weapons fire while leading students to safety.
