Henry Stewart, Student-Athlete of the Week

High-school sport: Baseball (pitcher-outfielder).

What I’ve done lately:
Had a three-run home run in Saturday’s victory in Pueblo and had two of the team’s five hits in an extra-inning loss to Cherry Creek on Tuesday.

Grade-point average:
4.1.

Class:
Senior.

Why I attend Mullen: Great sports and the great education I receive while I’m here.

The best thing about my sport:
Competing with teammates who are my best friends.

In my future:
I’m headed to Santa Clara, hopefully, to branch out to the bigger realm of baseball, will major in communications.

Pre-Game ritual:
I would say on the days I’m not pitching I go with (teammate) Andrew Brady, my throwing partner.

Favorite college team:
Santa Clara baseball.

Why I play:
I’ve always loved baseball. It has been my favorite game. It gives me the best chance to be myself and compete on the field.
