Boys swim and dive prep for 4A meet at league championships; track and field is 2 weeks from the state meet.
 
Mullen finished sixth on Saturday at the Centennial League ‘A’ Championships for boys swimming and diving.

Eight Mustangs had dates with the Class 5A-based loop at Cherry Creek in Greenwood Village. The host Bruins won with 995.5 points. The 4A Mustangs compiled 371 in the seven-team meet.

James Galligan, Ben Hoody, Austin Linn, Ian McGlashan, Henry Montgomery, John Rodriguez, Louis Roth and Oliver Valdez accounted for Mullen scoring.

The Mustangs will conclude their season with 4A Championships on Thursday, May 12, and Friday, May 13, at the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center in Thornton. Friday’s finals will begin at 5 p.m.

Track and Field

At the Stutler Bowl in Greenwood Village, the Mustangs competed in the Cherry Creek Invitational.

Mullen is priming for the Colorado Championships in two weeks and can prepare further when it hosts next weekend’s Centennial League Championships at De La Salle Stadium.
