High-school sport: Cross country and track and field (800 1,600 and 3,200 meters, and 3,200 relay).
What I’ve done lately: Has consistently been the Mustangs’ No. 2 runner and turned in her best time at the Liberty Bell meet, 19 minutes, 56 seconds.
Why I attend Mullen: I mean, it definitely was not my home school or near me, but I mainly picked it for the community and it has a lot of academic options with college-prep and honors classes, and it has a lot of good clubs. It makes you well-rounded as a person.
The best thing about my sport: I think just the feeling after you race is, like, ‘Wow! I can’t believe I just did that!’ And for the accomplishments, all the hard work and everything paid off. And I like going to practice – we’ve had the same team for the past four years, we cheer for each other and it’s great to see everyone improve.
Planned career: No, it’s not definite, but something in the medical field – pre-med or biomedical engineering.
In my immediate future: I’m definitely looking forward to the Windjammer (at Englewood, Oct. 8), another fast race … I hope to drop some time and (in regionals) qualify for state as a team. It’s my last cross-country season, I want to finish strong and enjoy the last month of it.
