Signed, sealed, soon to be delivered

'Stangs have 10 student-athletes ink deals on latest national signing day.
 
Mullen took the latest national signing day to the 10th power, as in 10 student-athletes inking deals to compete in college on Wednesday.

The current group represents competitors in seven sports and their destinations range from the prestigious Ivy League to community college.

To wit:

--- Liv Jean Beckish signed to play volleyball at Colorado College in Colorado Springs.

Three-year letter winner … all-Centennial League second team …All-State Academic first team … Cup Cake Club … 3.7 grade-point average … will major in business.

---Nicholas David Bond signed to play lacrosse at Washington College, Chestertown, Md.

Two-time Mustangs offensive player of the year … all-league honorable mention … 3.5 GPA … will major in business.

--- James Daniel Galligan signed to swim at Chapman University in Orange, Calif.

Three-time state qualifier … Golden Goggles Award (team MVP) past two seasons … All-Academic first team … Core leader, Torch Award, subject awards in physical science, biology and chemistry … 3.58 GPA … undeclared major.

--- Octavia Kiomara Gomez signed for distance running at Benedictine College in Atchison Kan.

Four letters in cross country, three to date in track and field … helped Mustangs to runner-up finish in state track and qualified for state cross country the past fall … Two-time Academic All-State, Running Lane Gold Team … National Honor Society, NHS Social Studies, subject awards in English, anatomy, algebra and advanced-placement history … mock trial state champion and national qualifier … homecoming royalty, student ambassador, pro-life club … 4.2 GPA … will major in biology and psychology.

--- Hunter Joseph Lay signed to play football at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

First team all-league … Mustangs Iron Man Award … second team all-league in basketball … suffered a shoulder surgery that permitted hom to play only one football game as a senior … first team all-Academic …3.84 GPA … will major in business.

--- Kameron Keith Lewis signed to play football at Fort Lewis in Durango.

Four-year letter winner … all-league second team both offensively and defensively, wide receiver and defensive back … 3.0 GPA … will major in exercise science.

--- Onaliaga Jadzia Medina signed to play softball at Lurleen B. Wallace Community College in Andalusia, Ala…. four-year letter winner … first team all-Centennial … two-time all-Academic … 3.0 GPA … undecided on a major.

--- Amy Rae O’Connell signed for distance running at American University in Washington, D.C.

Three letters in track and field, four in cross country … two-time Mullen Student-Athlete of the Week, Centennial League athlete of the month, Milesplit athlete of the week … Track MVP, all-state honorable mention the past spring, twice finished within the top 25 at state cross country …

SADD Club president, Core Leader, Peak Performance Running Club … NHS, NHS Latin, NHS Social Studies … 4.4 GPA … will major in public health.

--- Hayden Benjamin Woodruff signed to play football at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden.

All-league multiple times, all-state twice … also competed in wrestling and track and field …

3.62 GPA … will major in mechanical engineering.

--- Cayden Anthony Wynn signed to play football at Dodge City Community College in Dodge City, Kan.

All-league honorable mention … study skills subject award … will major in sports medicine.
