Ben Hollingsworth, Student-Athlete of the Week

Class:
Junior.

Grade-point average:
3.6.

Favorite subject:
Business.

High-school sport:
Ice hockey (center).

What I’ve done lately:
Had an assist in Tuesday’s 6-3 home victory over Air Academy, one of the team’s best performances in 2022-23.

Why I attend Mullen:
A lot of it was when I toured the school and I really liked it. My sister (Sophie) went here two years ago and I heard a lot of good things about it, and I liked the size, the campus and the people.

The best thing about my sport:
I really like how it’s exciting, the atmosphere, how intense it gets with all of the adrenaline … the fans are a big part of it. too, cheering with the student section, and just the people that play the game.

Planned career:
I was thinking after high school that I’d do a gap year playing junior hockey and maybe after that see how it goes or go to college and play club hockey at the school.

In my immediate future:
I want to Finish the season strong. We play (Colorado Academy (Feb. 3-4) and maybe we can snag a game against them. It would be huge for us. .
