Thomas Stewart, Student-Athlete of the Week

Class:
Sophomore.

Grade-point average:
3.9.

Favorite subject:
History.

High-school sport:
Basketball (forward) and baseball (pitcher and shortstop).

What I’ve done lately:
Had a key steal and rebound in the closing moments on Thursday to help the Mustangs win 58-55 at Overland in Aurora in the Centennial League Tournament.

Why I attend Mullen:
Because of my religion and faith, and my siblings (Henry and Lucy) said I should give it a try.

The best thing about my sport:
In baseball, I think it’s the relationships I’ve been able to build with my coaches and teammates.

Planned career:
Professional baseball player is the goal right now.

In my immediate future:
Baseball will soon start off in the next couple of weeks and we hope to get off to a good start, but, hopefully, we can make the playoffs in basketball (Mustangs play at Arapahoe on Saturday).
