MPA Welcomes all Parents!

MPA WELCOMES ALL PARENTS!
As a parent you are a part of the MPA. There are no dues, just come to an MPA meeting and you’ll have instant access to the many committees and events that we host, select something that interests you and get involved by. It’s a great way to meet other parents, faculty, staff and administration and become part of the Mullen community!

Meeting Dates:
3rd Tuesday of every month join us at 8:00-9:30 a.m. or 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Student Activities Center. We have key Mullen administration, counseling and teachers speak at the morning meetings. If you can’t make the meetings in person, please call 605-313-4185 access code 178423.

The Mustang Outfitters Store is the official supplier of Mustang gear. Visit us in-person in the lobby of the Hutchison Field House.

Tuesday 2:30pm - 5:00pm
Wednesday 2:30pm - 5:00pm
Thursday 7:30am - 9:00am

**We are also open during all varsity home Football, Basketball and Volleyball games.**

  • Ongoing Committees

    To get involved in one or more of these committees, please complete the MPA Committee Sign-up From.

    Booster Liaison
    In an effort to create a supportive Mullen community, this committee helps to coordinate communication and information between the MPA and the various Booster clubs within Mullen High School.

    Community Outreach
    This committee addresses the needs of the Mullen community during times of crisis and need.

    MPA Grant Program

    A program to help financially support projects and needs within the Mullen community.  This committee, including the MPA Board, would review and approve requests received through applications.

    Mustang Outfitters Store
    The proceeds from the store support all of the MPA events that are hosted for the entire Mullen community, assist with funding speakers, and most importantly contribute to student events and retreats.

    Parent Ambassadors
    This team of parents reaches out to welcome new families, helps them to get connected with the community, and gives helpful information about Mullen activities and events.  They support the Admissions department and assist with various activities for these families.
    Co-Chairs:  Gina Bogitch and Dorie Hoody.

    Prayer Warriors
    A committee that coordinates a Rosary prayer every Tuesday morning in our school chapel at 8am.  These warriors pray for the Mullen community and work with the Pastoral Office to plan parent masses, retreats, and other faith experiences.

    Social Media
    This committee helps to spread the word about Mullen Parents Association events through social media.

    Pre-Owned Uniform Sale: August 7, 2021
    This committee collects previously owned Mullen uniforms and gear then sells them at great discounts.  The proceeds from these sales support ALL of the MPA events that we host for the entire Mullen community.

    Freshman BBQ: August 16, 2021
    This committee will work with Development Department on planning the New Student BBQ, as well as assisting with executing the event on the day of the BBQ.

    MPA Tailgate for the first Home Football Game: September 3, 2021
    We pop up the tents in the parking lot and everyone brings a dish and/or beverage to share. Come help celebrate the Mullen community!

    Family & Community Events
    These events are hosted throughout the school year.  These events create opportunities for family members to enjoy time together by sharing a meal and participating in a fun event.  August 28th is Family Movie Night on the Football Field!

    Parent/Teacher Conferences Meals: September 29, 2021
    During trimester parent/teacher conferences, this committee hosts a meal for all staff.  This Trimester 1 event will be held on September 29, 2021

    Admissions Open House: October 24, 2021
    This committee helps to welcome prospective students and their families to Mullen.  We work with Admissions and provide coffee, food, beverages, and help to answer questions.

    Teacher Appreciation: October 26, 2021
    This committee provides a treat for the teachers, staff, and administration once a trimester!  The Trimester 1 event will happen on October 26, 2021.

    Service Fair
    An event to introduce students and their families to the many opportunities to provide service throughout the Mullen community and beyond.  This event is held in cooperation with the faculty service coordinator, Dr. Mara Dougherty.

    Campus Holiday Decorating: November 29, 2021
    This committee is in charge of decorating the campus for the winter holidays.  The committee puts up the Christmas tree and other decorations around Mullen to help spread the holiday cheer.  They also are responsible for the take down and safe storage of the decorations after the first of the year.

    Teacher Appreciation: December 14, 2021
    This committee provides a treat for the teachers, staff, and administration once a trimester!  The Trimester 2 event will happen on December 14, 2021.

    Parent/Teacher Conferences Meal: January 13, 2022
    During trimester parent/teacher conferences, this committee hosts a meal for all staff.  This Trimester 2 event will be held on January 13, 2022

    Freshman Family Interviews: January 15 & 29, 2022
    This committee supports the Admissions department as Mullen welcomes prospective families who come for their interviews.  We provide coffee, beverages, snacks, and some smiling faces to greet people and answer their questions.

    Student Appreciation Week: February 14-19, 2022
    A week of celebrating the students of Mullen!  This committee plans events through the week for each class.

    Senior Citizen Prom: March 26, 2022

    A formal dance for approximately 350+ senior citizens from the Denver Metro community. Committee members help to organize, plan, and run the event.   Mullen students escort, serve food, and dance with the seniors.

    Parent/Teacher Conferences Meals: April 13, 2022
    During trimester parent/teacher conferences, this committee hosts a meal for all staff.  This Trimester 3 event will be held on April 13, 2022

    After Prom: April 23, 2022
    This late-night event helps to keep our students safe and provides entertainment after Prom.  This committee assists the Student Activities department with hosting the event.  Prizes are donated and purchased from donations then raffled off to the students at the event.

    Teacher Appreciation Week: May 2-7, 2022
    The Mullen Parents Association celebrates the teachers during this national week of recognition.
