MPA Welcomes all Parents!

As a parent you are a part of the MPA. There are no dues, just come to an MPA meeting and you’ll have instant access to the many committees and events that we host, select something that interests you and get involved by. It’s a great way to meet other parents, faculty, staff and administration and become part of the Mullen community!

Meeting Dates:
3rd Tuesday of every month join us at 8:00-9:30 a.m. or 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Student Activities Center. We have key Mullen administration, counseling and teachers speak at the morning meetings. If you can’t make the meetings in person, please call 605-313-4185 access code 178423.

  • After Prom

    This late-night event helps keep our students safe and provides entertainment after Prom. Parents host the after party the night of the Junior/Senior prom April 24th prizes are donated and purchased from donations and then raffled off to the students at the event. This is a great way for freshman and sophomore parents to get involved and see the fun that awaits your students when they are juniors and seniors!
  • Blood Drive

    The Sports Medicine program hosts two blood drives a year and we provide drinks and snacks to the donors and volunteers.
  • Board

    President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasure are elected positions they meet once every 2 months in addition to the regular MPA meetings and oversea the finances, Mustang Outfitters, committees, all events, work closely with administration, teachers, event planning, facilities and the President of Mullen.
  • Booster Liaison

    Communicate with all booster organizations and updates the MPA with upcoming booster events.
  • Communications

    Help spread the word about MPA events through social media, Mullen Weekly and email blasts.
  • Community Outreach

    This committees focus is assisting the Lasallians Helping Lasallians program which provides meals, uniforms, bus passes, retreat scholarships, covers event fees, school supplies and other needs that arise for our scholarship students at Mullen. It also addresses the needs of the Mullen community in times of crises and comes along side individuals and their families, providing support, resources and prayer!

    “Canvas For A Cause” – Gather up your friends and family for a fun night of sipping and painting with Tom Brotherson all to help raise money for the LHL program. $30 per person September 6th 6:00-8:30 p.m. in the Rilko 
  • Facilities Luncheon

    Appreciation luncheon for the hardworking Facilities crew who keep our campus working well and looking good. Volunteers and donations are needed for this event May 18th 2020.
  • Family Fun Events

    Parent-Student events are hosted throughout the school year. These events create opportunities for family members to enjoy time together sharing a meal and participating in a fun event like going to a DU Hockey game, painting, Punch Bowl Social, Hangar 101 or other fun activities.

    • Father-Daughter October 5th - 6:00-8:00 p.m. 
    • Father-Son November 16th - 5:30 p.m. 
    • Mother-Daughter April 19th - 12:00-2:00 p.m
    • Mother-Son May 3rd - 12:00-2:00 p.m. 
  • Freshman Family BBQ

    In August we give parent tours, serve dinner and host a informational table at the BBQ.
  • Freshman Family Interviews

    January 11th and 25th this committee along with admissions welcomes perspective families while they wait for their interview. We provide coffee, beverages, breakfast and lunch snacks and some smiling faces to great people and answer their questions.
  • Holiday Decorating

    December 6th from 8am-11am we need a group of volunteers to decorate the campus and put up the Christmas trees to help spread the holiday cheer.
  • Mustang Outfitters

    Mustang Outfitters is located at the south west end of the Hutchison Field House, it’s operated by Maureen Hall and MPA parent volunteers. The proceeds from the store support all of the MPA events that we host for the entire Mullen community, assist with funding speakers and most importantly contribute to student events and retreats. Mullen logo spirit wear, outdoor gear, game day must have’s and several other fun accessories are sold at the store. There’s something for everyone! We greatly appreciate you and your students shopping there throughout the year!  To volunteer please register here.

  • Open House

    November 10th, we help welcome perspective students and their families to Mullen. We work with Admissions and provide coffee, breakfast snacks, light lunch, afternoon snacks, beverages, tour guides and help answer questions.
  • Parent Ambassadors

    This team of parents reach out to welcome freshman families and transfer families, helping them get connected with the community, giving helpful information about Mullen activities and events. They support the admissions office and assist with open house, student testing days, student/family interviews, freshman orientation, parent orientation and the family BBQ.
  • Prayer Warriors

    All family members are invited to a Rosary prayer every Tuesday morning in our school Chapel at 8:00am and fellowship afterwards. These prayer warriors pray for the Mullen community and their families, please submit your prayer requests to Shelia Atwell at rsm.atwell@comcast.net . This group also gets together every Thursday at Holy Name for 8am mass, Adoration at 8:30 and coffee at Riverpoint Panera afterwards if you’d like to join.

    Parent Mass held from 8:00-9:00am in the Rilko Chapel: September 26th, October 24th, November 21st, January 23rd, February 20th, March 26th, April 23rd and May 19th.
  • Pre-Owned Uniform Sales

    The committee collects previously owned Mullen uniforms and gear then sells it at great discounts. Items are inspected, organized and tagged for the sales. Typically, this committee holds 2 sales per school year. This is a great opportunity to keep our students in dress code and repurpose those items that they’ve outgrown. Donations accepted throughout the year, please drop them off at the front desk. The proceeds from these sales support all of the MPA events that we host for the entire Mullen community, assist with funding speakers and most importantly contribute to student events and retreats.
  • Senior Breakfast

    A light grab and go breakfast are provided to graduating seniors the morning of rehearsal for the commencement ceremony. Volunteers and donations are listed on a SignUp Genius in the spring.
  • Senior Citizen Prom

    Each year the students under the direction and planning of this committee host a Prom for approximately 350+ senior citizens from the Denver Metro community. This event is held in the gym at the Hutchison Field House, drinks, light appetizers and dessert are served at this free event for seniors. The senior citizens enjoy an evening of dancing, eating and socializing. The students escort, serve and dance with the seniors, it’s one of the best events and a Mullen community tradition. Lot’s of volunteer opportunities available for parents and students.
  • Tailgating

    1st Home football game of the season we pop up the tent, everyone brings a dish to share and beverages and we connect before the game in the parking lot by the tennis courts.
  • Teacher Appreciation Luncheons

    This committee provides lunch for the teachers and administration once a trimester, we need volunteers and donations.
  • Teacher Appreciation Week

    May 4th-8th this committee helps give thanks to our teachers during this week. Providing, a coffee cart, breakfast, lunch, snacks and a special gift to show our appreciation for all that they do.
  • Teacher Conference Dinners

    During conferences we host a dinner for the teachers during their break, volunteers and donations are needed for this committee.
  • Welcome Coffee

    1st day of school drop your student off and join us for coffee and donuts in the courtyard chapel by the horseshoe main entrance. Say hello to some old friends, meet a few new ones and start the school year off. Volunteers and donations needed for this event.
