The College Counseling office at Mullen is committed to supporting students and families throughout a comprehensive and individualized college search and application process. We assist students in finding the right fit for college based on academics, affordability, and an atmosphere in which they can further develop their talents and interests.

    Summer Fuel Workshop

    A program open to Mullen members of the Class of 2026. This hands-on application workshop will include a session on the Common Application, main college essay, and how to organize all your application details and deadlines. Advanced registration is required, and closes 24 hours before the start of the program. Check your email for a registration link, or reach out to your College Counselor for help.

    Freshman Orientation Class of 2029

    This is a mandatory event for every member of the Class of 2029.  The purpose of this orientation is to make the transition from middle school to Mullen High School a positive experience. Our seniors and juniors will be serving as leaders and mentors to our freshmen. Large and small group activities are designed to address students' needs and concerns in an enjoyable manner. More information will be sent later this summer!

  • Colleges that Change Lives College Fair

    Doubletree by Hilton Denver Hotel Grand I, II 3203 Quebec Street Denver, CO 80207

    Each program opens with a 30-minute presentation on the student-centered college search, the value of the liberal arts, and an overview of what makes this collection of schools distinctly different.

    After the opening presentation, attendees are invited to attend a 90-minute college fair. The fair provides students, families, and college access professionals with an opportunity to connect directly with admission officers from the CTCL member schools.

    Attendees are encouraged to pre-register in advance of the program.

    CTCL programs are open to the public and free of charge.

    This program is essential for all seniors and their parents. Mullen's College Counselors will be providing information and strategies to successfully navigate the college application process, including timelines, deadlines, and other important "nuts & bolts" of the college application process from 6:00-7:00PM.

    Interested senior families and/or underclassmen families should attend the second portion of the evening about Financial Aid and Scholarships from 7:00-8:00PM.

Mullen's College Counselors will provide information about college planning timelines, standardized testing, exploring colleges, and discussing the criteria colleges use for acceptance.Interested underclassmen and their families should attend the second portion of the evening, which will provide information about the College Athletic Recruitment process from 7-7:30PM.
