Mullen's 1:1 Learning Program

Mullen’s mission is to provide a college preparatory education that takes a whole-child approach while also equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in college. Part of our preparation includes helping students navigate a world where technology plays an increasingly important role. To ensure we are providing the right tools for learning, we regularly review how our students use technology and how those tools align with our goals for a college-preparatory education.

Mullen will be transitioning from iPads to Chromebooks as our primary student device for the 2026-27 school year. This shift supports several priorities that we believe are important for our students’ growth:
  • College and Career Readiness: Chromebooks mirror the technology most often used in higher education and professional settings.
  • Digital Testing: As more assessments move online, Chromebooks provide a secure, reliable testing platform.
  • Student Safety: Chromebooks enable us to implement stronger safeguards, creating a safer and more focused digital learning environment.
  • Affordability: Chromebooks are a cost-effective option for families, offering powerful learning tools at a reasonable price.
  • Collaboration and Productivity: Chromebooks enhance the use of Google Workspace for Education, which supports collaboration, organization, and communication in the classroom.
