Mullen Student-Athlete Troy Mailo Featured in The Denver Post for Faith, Football and Stanford Commitment

At Mullen High School, success is measured by more than wins, rankings or college offers. It is measured by the formation of young people who lead with faith, character, discipline and purpose in the classroom, on the field and in the church.

That mission was beautifully highlighted in a recent Denver Post article by Troy Renck featuring Mullen student-athlete Troy Mailo, whose journey of Catholic faith, family, football and academic ambition has led him to commit to Stanford University after he graduates from Mullen High School in May 2027.
For families searching for a Denver high school where students are challenged to grow spiritually, academically and athletically, Troy’s story is a powerful example of what makes Mullen one of the leading private high schools in Denver, CO. His success reflects the heart of a Lasallian Catholic education: forming students who are prepared not only for college, but for lives of leadership, service and integrity.

As a highly-ranked Denver student-athlete, Troy represents the best of Mullen’s commitment to developing the whole person. On the field, he has earned recognition as one of Colorado’s top football prospects. In the classroom, he has pursued excellence with the same determination. In his faith life, he has remained grounded in the values that guide who he is and who he is becoming.

For prospective families, alumni and supporters of Catholic education in Denver, Troy’s story is a reminder that Mullen is more than a school. It is a community where students are known, challenged, supported and called to become the people God created them to be.

We are proud of Troy, grateful for the coaches, teachers, family members and mentors who have helped shape his journey, and inspired by the example he sets for future Mustangs.
