Softball, volleyball and boys tennis fall in Thursday's Centennial League events.
 
Mullen’s late rally came up short Thursday in a 6-4 loss at Arapahoe in Centennial.

The Mustangs dropped their sixth game in succession, all in the Centennial League, where they are 0-6.

Trailing 6-2 entering the top of the seventh, Mullen plated two runs before falling to 7-10 overall.

Bella Aragon and Morgan Stewart each had two of Mullen’s six hits. Avery Walters and Romie Gutierrez also hit safely.

The Mustangs will be at Grandview in Aurora in league on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 4:30 p.m.

Volleyball

In front of a packed house in Aurora, the Mustangs were swept by host Grandview 25-16, 25-15, 25-14.

Mullen has lost its past three matches and is 6-4 overall. It was their opening Centdnnial League match.

The Mustangs will resume play on Tuesday, Sept. 28, in league at at Cherry Creek in Greenwood Village, 6:30 p.m.

Boys Tennis

The Mustangs were swept by Grandview 7-0 in a Centennial League dual match in Aurora.

They will complete their league schedule on Tuesday, Sept. 28, at Overland in Aurora, 3:45 p.m.
