Netters downed by Heritage

Mullen drops a 5-2 match to Heritage in nonleague; Centennial League play begins Tuesday at Arapahoe.
 
Heritage defeated Mullen 5-2 in a nonleague dual meet on Monday at Pinehurst Country Club.

The visiting Eagles swept the three singles matches and two of the first four in doubles.

Mullen’s Clara Dailey-Claire Lenich at No. 3 doubles and Grace Brouillette-Avery Walters at No. 3 were victorious, including a three-setter for Brouillette-Walters.

The Mustangs will open Centennial League matches on Tuesday, April 4, at Arapahoe, first serves at 3:45 p.m.

No. 1 singles – Kristin Thomas, Heritage def. Lexi Yost 6-0, 6-3.

No. 2 singles – Charlotte Barker, Heritage def. Marin Smith 6-1, 6-1.

No. 3 singles – Megan Johnson, Heritage def. Savanna Hanley 6-2, 6-3.

No. 1 doubles – Ashleigh Olson-Ava Antolinez, Heritage def. Madeline Crites-Aubryanne Leugers 6-2, 6-3.

No. 2 doubles – Melissa Gisen-Sydney Mansfield, Heritage def. Renee Hoyt-Paige Nielsen 6-3, 6-3.

No. 3 doubles – Clara Dailey-Claire Lenich, Mullen def. Cora Ziegler-Lucy O’Hearn 6-3, 6-2.

No. 4 doubles – Grace Brouillette-Avery Walters, Mullen def. Sophie Jones-Katie Sarko 3-6, 6-0, 10-7.
