The 6'6 210 target for the Mustangs, from Denver, chose the Wolverines over Minnesota, Texas Tech and Miami.
"...it's my dream to make it to the NFL but I know I'm not going to play forever, so going to Michigan is going to set up my life." Bonner said.

With his senior year quickly approaching, Bonner knows how important putting in the work during the summer days is, especially with building chemistry.

Jeremy Bennett, the head coach of the Mustangs, did not hesitate to point out what makes Bonner a target for Power-4 college coaches

"What he (Bonner) does for his size that's a God given talent... what he does with his hips, dropping in his routs, in and out of his break..."

But the decision was about more than just the X's and O's for Bonner.

"From the time they offered me they showed that they want me to be a part of the family, I'm not just a number but I'm a name, I'm a person."

Mason recognizes he is just one part of the rising class of 2026 Colorado talent.

"...we're putting people on the map, we're showing that Colorado has talent, and you just have to come find us." said Bonner.
