Mullen High School Athletics Celebrates Exceptional Winter Season Across All Programs
Denver, CO — Mullen High School proudly reflects on an outstanding winter athletics season, highlighted by individual excellence, team success, and a continued commitment to education based athletics rooted in the Lasallian mission.
 
Across all winter programs, Mullen student athletes demonstrated what it means to compete with purpose, balancing academics, athletics, and leadership while representing the Mustang community with pride.
Boys Basketball delivered another strong season competing at a high level in Colorado’s top classification. The Mustangs were led by Mason Bonner, who earned Centennial League Player of the Year, recognizing his impact, leadership, and consistency throughout the season. The team also achieved a historic milestone, defeating Regis for the first time in 18 years, a moment that reflected the growth and determination of the program.
Girls Basketball showed continued growth and competitiveness throughout the winter, battling through a challenging league schedule and laying a strong foundation for the future. The team’s resilience and commitment to improvement were evident all season long.
Girls Swim and Dive had a historic year, led by Natalie Bradac, who captured the state championship in the 50 freestyle while setting a new school record (23.88). She also broke the school record in the 100 breaststroke and finished as state runner up, capping off one of the most impressive seasons in program history. The team demonstrated depth and continued progress at both the league and state levels.
Boys and Girls Wrestling continued to be a cornerstone of success for Mullen Athletics. On the boys side, Isaak Chavez claimed the CHSAA 175 pound state championship, becoming a two time state champion and four time state finalist. The girls wrestling program continued its growth, competing with toughness and representing Mullen on one of the fastest growing stages in high school athletics.
Hockey competed with grit and discipline throughout the winter season, continuing to represent Mullen in a highly competitive landscape. The program showed strong development and teamwork while competing against top programs across the state.
Cheer built on its momentum following a historic year, continuing to compete at a high level in both sideline and competition settings. The team’s energy, commitment, and ability to represent Mullen across multiple platforms remains a vital part of the Mustang athletic community.
Dance continued to grow and develop as a program, showcasing strong performances and representing Mullen with pride. Their dedication, teamwork, and presence at athletic events and competitions contributed to the overall spirit and culture of Mullen Athletics.
“This winter season was a powerful example of who we are at Mullen,” said Athletic Director Melynda Brown. “We are proud of the championships and records, but even more proud of the way our student athletes represent our mission every day. They compete with heart, support one another, and continue to raise the standard for what it means to be a Mustang.”
