Mullen High School, a leading Catholic high school in Denver, CO and a premier choice among Denver student-athletes, is proud to announce the hiring of Ciara Dargahi, MS, MEd, LAT, ATC, as the school’s new Director of Sports Medicine.

In this role, Dargahi will oversee the Mullen Sports Medicine Department, provide leadership in the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries, and work collaboratively with Mullen’s school nurse, coaches, sports performance staff, and administration to support the health and well-being of Mullen student-athletes competing in one of the state's most respected Catholic high school sports programs.
Dargahi brings more than a decade of experience across professional, collegiate, Olympic, and secondary school athletics. Her impressive background includes serving as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Colorado Rapids, working with the NBA and NBA Academy, supporting athletes with the Chinese Olympic Committee, and providing care in collegiate athletics, professional soccer, basketball, and international competition. She most recently served with Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, providing orthopedic and sports medicine care while also supporting youth and high school athletics.

In addition to her extensive clinical experience, Dargahi holds a Master of Science in Human Performance, a Master of Education in Leadership, and a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. She is a licensed athletic trainer in Colorado and maintains numerous advanced certifications in injury prevention, rehabilitation, corrective exercise, and mental health support.

As Director of Sports Medicine, Dargahi will focus on elevating the care provided to Mullen student-athletes while building strong partnerships across campus. A key component of her role will be collaborating with Director of Sports Performance Candice Walls and school nurse Jodi Alexander to create a comprehensive and integrated approach to student health, athletic performance, and development.

"Mullen Athletics is incredibly excited to welcome Ciara to our team and begin this next chapter within our Sports Medicine Department," said Melynda Brown, Athletic Director at Mullen High School. "Her background, knowledge, and passion for the care of student-athletes make her an outstanding fit for our community. I look forward to working alongside her and watching her continue to grow and strengthen our sports medicine program. We have a strong expectation that Ciara and our Director of Sports Performance, Candice Walls, will work hand in hand to provide an exceptional student-athlete experience. Together, they will help us fully live out our college preparatory mission by operating an integrated athletic department that reflects the structure, collaboration, and support systems found at the collegiate level."

For prospective families exploring Denver private schools, strong athletic programs, and comprehensive student support services, Mullen's investment in sports medicine reflects the school's commitment to developing the whole student-athlete—academically, physically, and personally.

"I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to serve the Mullen community," said Dargahi. "As Director of Sports Medicine, I am committed to creating a safe environment where every student-athlete can thrive, grow, and compete at their highest level while receiving the highest standard of care and support."

Dargahi’s arrival reflects Mullen High School’s ongoing commitment to providing a premier student-athlete experience rooted in the school’s Lasallian mission and dedication to excellence. Her leadership will further enhance the resources available to Mullen’s more than 650 student-athletes while supporting the department’s vision of developing the whole person through athletics.

As one of the premier Catholic high schools in Colorado, Mullen High School continues to invest in innovative programs that support student-athlete success, college readiness, and athletic achievement, reinforcing its position as a leader among Denver private schools and Catholic high school athletic programs.
