My name is Nicoletta Maes, and I am delighted to join Mullen’s staff as the new Director of Theatre! Born and raised in Fort Collins, CO, I graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre, then went on to receive my Master of Education from the University of Northern Colorado. I’ve spent the last 3 years teaching in the Denver Metro area and am thrilled to bring my expertise and experience to the Mullen Theatre Department!
At Mullen High School, we take pride in our immersive and hands-on Theatre Department. Here is a snapshot of what you can expect from our program:
All aspects of the theater are truly student-designed and produced, including sets, lighting, costumes, props, marketing, and more.
Our program fosters real-world connections, featuring guest speakers, workshops with local theaters, and theatre-based trips outside of the state. We encourage our students to acquire relevant technical and networking skills, preparing them for a wide range of theatrical opportunities in the field.
We produce two plays and a musical dinner theatre each year
Our department hosts Theatre Troupe #778, an official student Colorado Thescon troupe. We also attend the Colorado Thescon festival annually.
We invite you to attend our fall production of Radium Girls on October 23rd, 24th, and 25th at 7 pm in our Rilko Theatre. We welcome all questions and invite you to be a part of our phenomenal department, where everyone is welcome and has a place and purpose.
