Mark Troni
High school sport: Wrestling (132 pounds, 26-11 record) and track and field (400 meters).
What I’ve done lately: Went 5-0 in the Platte Valley duals the past Saturday. In the coming weeks, Troni will be competing for a berth in the Colorado tournament at the Pepsi Center.
Grade-point average: 4.1.
Class: Sophomore.
Why I attend Mullen: The overall community Mullen has to offer, I enjoy it.
The best thing about my sport: In wrestling, you can’t blame it on anyone else, except for yourself, so you’re relying only on you. I like that part and it’s why I also like track.
In my future: I want to go to college and and join a wrestling program
Pre-Game ritual: Don’t have any, I just show up and compete.
Favorite college team: Penn State football.
Why I play: My dad made a rule that if I came to Mullen I had to participate in two sports. I’m fine with the rule. I was going to wrestle regardless; I was just figuring out that second sport.
