  • Physical Science/Chemistry Substitute Teacher

    Mullen High School is seeking to hire an energetic committed Physical Science/Chemistry Substitute Teacher.

    This position is full-time anticipated short-term from January 6, 2020 through February 28, 2020 for leave coverage.

    The individual in this position would be expected to plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. This person must be able to plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences, establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
    Essential Job Functions:

     Intentional focus on student achievement.
     Stimulate inquiry and engagement through project-based instruction
     Prepare lessons based upon backwards design
     Grade student work, and maintain/update grades
     Build and maintain positive relationships with students and instructional teams
     Utilize effective research-based instruction and evaluation
     Utilize both formative and summative assessment for student mastery
     Communicate effectively with students and families
     Work outside the normal schedule periodically in collaboration with colleagues
     Demonstrate competency in integrating technology into classroom teaching
     Demonstrated competency of collaborative work

    Qualifications:
     Bachelor’s degree in related subject is required
     Strong commitment and desire to work with youth and adults in a collaborative environment
     Enjoy the challenge of implementing new teaching methods and educational tools in an ever changing and strategic environment
     Ability to utilize technology and integrate the use of technology to instruct and provide feedback on student's performance and development
     Life-long learner, optimistic, flexible, and passionate about helping all students reach their potential
     Open to change and possess skills that promote student achievement and growth.

  • Substitute Teachers

    Mullen High School is seeking Substitute Teachers to cover classes for teachers who are on retreat, attending conferences, or traveling to school-related events. Substitute teachers will be asked to monitor classes, proctor tests, and deliver simplified lesson plans.

  • Girls Lacrosse JV Coach

    Mullen High School is seeking to hire an energetic and committed Girl’s Lacrosse JV Coach. The Coach is expected to demonstrate principles of Positive Coaching Alliance as well as carry out the objectives of the school’s core principles and values in accordance with its Mission. This position reports to the Head Girl’s Lacrosse Coach.

  • Volunteer Throw Coach for Boys & Girls Track & Field

    Mullen High School is seeking an energetic and committed Volunteer Track & Field Throw Coach for the Boys and Girls team. The coach is expected to present an enthusiastic professional looking Spirit squad to represent the entire athletic program. This position reports to the Athletic Director.
    Essential Job Functions:
    • Demonstrate the principles of Positive Coaching Alliance as well as carry out objectives of the school’s core principles and values in accordance with its Mission. 
    • Be a positive role model consistent with the school’s Mission.
    • Maintain effective communication with athletes, boosters, school administration, staff, students, parents and the community.
    Qualifications:
    • High school Track coaching experience preferred.
    • Comprehensive up-to-date knowledge of Track, latest trends techniques, strategies, and technical skills. 
    • Possesses an enthused love for Track and has a desire to develop the fundamental skills of high school athletes.
    • Willingness to incorporate the Positive Coaching Alliance objectives into one’s coaching philosophy. 
    • Work within the framework of a Lasallian, Catholic, and College Prep institution.
