VII boys tennis rolls in Aurora

Mullen's Varsity II defeated the host Buffaloes 6-1 in a Centennial League match; 'Stangs are 3-1.
 
AURORA -- Mullen boys tennis moved to 3-1 on the season in dual meets on Monday with a 6-1 decision at Smoky Hill.

The Mustangs employed their Varsity II team in the Centennial League match.

Senior Tucker Lane dropped a tight 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 match at No. 1 singles, but the Mustangs swept the other six encounters:

At No. 2 singles, senior Tommy DeNezza won 6-4, 6-2.

At No. 3 singles, sophomore Josh Jeffers won 6-1, 6-0.

At No. 1 doubles, sophomore Noah Wanja and junior Carlos Pena won 6-1, 6-4.

At No. 2 doubles, junior Joe Murphy and sophomore Adam Archibald won 6-7 (8-10), 6-0, 6-4.

At No. 3 doubles, sophomore Carson Duke and freshman Aiden Guthrie won 6-2, 6-4.

At No. 4 doubles, sophomores John Lenich and Jackson Alexander won 7-5, 6-3.
